St. Martin's CE Primary Academy is a member of the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust and a thriving one-form entry primary in the heart of Salisbury city centre. We are one of the most diverse schools in the county and proudly celebrate the many nationalities, religions and cultures that pass through our doors everyday.
My name is Ollie Martindale and I have worked in education for 18 years. I have been Executive Headteacher here at St. Martin's since September 2024 and played a significant role at the school during the previous summer term. I feel privileged to be working alongside such ambitious, creative and caring children, as well as the many dedicated professionals working in and out of classrooms here at St. Martin's. For the previous six years, I led - and continue to lead in my role as Executive Headteacher - at St. Peter's CE Primary Academy. We achieved a very positive OFSTED in November 2022 and the school continues to grow both in size and reputation. My ambition for St. Martin's is the same and the drive to achieve such positive outcomes resonated with several other colleagues who moved from St. Peter's to St. Martin's. One such person is our Head of School here, Mrs Miller-Goddard. You'd be hard pushed to find a more passionate and inclusive educator, and she is someone that prospective and existing parents will always find at the gates in the morning welcoming our children in. Mrs M-G has taught in schools for nearly 10 years and has an outstanding track record of school improvement in the many roles she has assumed (including SENDCo and Assistant Headteacher).
In addition to myself and Mrs. M-G, St. Martin's has recruited a new Deputy Headteacher, SENDCo and several teachers in the past six months. We are an ambitious and effective team supported by an equally accomplished Trust, and I would encourage any potential parents to visit us to see our amazing children in situ, to see the reality of life at St. Martin's. Most importantly, you'd see children that are happy, safe and enjoying the challenge of their learning.
