Vision and Values
Wherever you go - be strong and courageous
Joshua 1:9
Our Vision Vessel
Our vision vessel is a map, which reflects the wonderfully diverse journeys that our school community travel on. Each child has found a place to belong at St Martin's school where they will be welcomed, supported, challenged and celebrated. Whether they are here for a short stop on their journey or for seven full years, each child who comes through our door will leave our school with truly wonderful experiences to add to their own personal life map.
School Values
Our school values, which underpin everything we do at St Martin's Primary:
Community
Through our value of community, we encourage our children to care for one another as God cares for us. The children of St Martin’s Primary School are from a widely diverse set of individual communities and, by valuing each child for their unique perspective, we build a strong collective, rooted in tolerance, respect and empathy. By prioritising this sense of togetherness, we enable all to flourish together.
Courage
We are courageous advocates at St Martin’s Primary School – the children speak out for the things that are meaningful to them and use their bravery to teach others from their unique perspective. By instilling courage in the children we teach, we are enabling them to be resilient, capable learners who are ready to take risks and challenge themselves We teach our children that courage also means being brave enough to be uniquely ourselves and to have the confidence to reach out to others when we need to.
Aspiration
At St Martin’s, we nurture high aspirations uniquely to each child and equip them with the knowledge, resilience and confidence to meet their full potential. We nurture not only to each individual’s highest academic attainment, but also support them to aspire more widely. Children at St Martin’s aspire to help others, to make their mark on the world and to achieve their goals.
