September 22nd 2023
Tiger class have had a brilliant start to the year. The children have come back to school ready to learn and raring to go! Well done Tigers!
This term we will be exploring numbers to 10 and adding and subtracting in maths. We have two fantastic stories to support our English learning: The Way back home and We’re going on a bear hunt! We will be writing stories and recounts. We will be learning about the seasons and seasonal changes throughout the year in science. Our geography learning will be linked to our school and the local area. In DT, we will be practising our sewing skills! In RE, we will be learning about the importance of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to Jewish children.
We have PE on Tuesday and Wednesday. PE kits must be in on these days but ideally PE kits will stay in school every day and taken home at the end of term for washing.
For PE, children need to wear shorts, t-shirt and trainers/plimsolls as stated in the uniform policy.
As a hook for our next English text: We’re going on a bear hunt, Tiger class will be walking to Godolphin School for a tour on Wednesday 27th September. We will be on the lookout in case we spot any bears!
